A Welsh Oak Long case Waltkin Owen. Llanwrst. The 33cm brass circular dial with silvered chapter ring with Roman Numerals. Calendar aperture and seconds subsidiary dial.The case profusely carved with lozenges and scrolling foliage. On a stepped base. Complete with key, two weights and a pendulum. Watkin Owen was a member of a very prominent clock making and watch assembling family and probably the most productive in the whole of Wales. Watkin Owen has three watches in the National Museum of Wales. 216cm x 54cm x 28cm.
